Hi, I’m Shakirat Akanji, a UX Engineer and Product Designer with a passion for creating thoughtful and impactful digital experiences. Over the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse industries, including FinTech, EdTech, SaaS, HealthTech, and Non-Profit organizations.

I believe that impactful design starts with empathy. My process is grounded in understanding user needs, simplifying complex workflows, and crafting accessible solutions that align with business goals. Whether it’s designing for healthcare systems or building tools that inspire productivity, my goal is to create seamless and transformative user experiences.

Beyond my professional work, I’m deeply invested in the healthcare technology space. I enjoy exploring advancements in medicine, particularly those that merge health, design, and artificial intelligence.

Currently, I’m levelling up my coding skills and perfecting my use of Framer to enhance my design process further.

When I’m not designing or coding, you’ll find me drawing inspiration from the world around me. I enjoy binge-watching medical or crime movies, doodling on Procreate, or diving into personal creative projects. My faith is also a significant part of who I am; I spend time praying, listening to Islamic lectures, and reading the Quran.
